Camping in 2022 shouldn’t be difficult. Gone are the days of camping practices which exhausted the camper, the days of huge backpacks, sore soles and blistered feet. The modern camper doesn’t have time for all of this – they camp for comfort, camp for pleasure. ORCA understands this, and that is why we have designed the DF with this end goal in mind. The ORCA DF makes camping comfortable. Here are five reasons why:

From the coupling to the spare wheel, the overall length of the DF measures in at an average 5.4 meters. The folding mechanisms are engineered to be intuitive and convenient for set up when used, as well as to be as compact as possible when stored, and this shows. Unfolded, the tent is made from a heavy duty 14oz canvas with double sided stitching as well as waterproof treatment, perfect for harsher weather conditions – come rain or wind, you are well snug. The tent is held up by a strong yet lightweight internal frame, and its poles have a convenient smart “one handed” clamping system. Once the setup is complete, open up the roll-up living room walls and let the light enter, and when it's night time light it up with the equipped LEDs. The flooring is made of a solid and durable easy to clean material so spills won't cause frills.

The modern camper needs a modern camp and as such, we came up with a plan. There is a kitchen, made out of stainless steel for a stylish, but easy to clean look. It comes equipped with a 4-burner gas powered stove top, with storage racks, utensil drawers and a table extension. Hardly a comfort, and more of a necessity is water. For this, all DF’s come equipped with dual jerry can holders located on an A-frame, a 12V water pump with an external switch. If this wasn't enough, it also has a built in dual 80 litre poly water storage tanks which are pumped separately from the rest of the system as well as two securable water filling points. All DF’s set the standard by having a truma gas/electric hot water system, and if you need it, you can get a model which is equipped with an optional in-built exterior shower system with a retractable hose. 

Arguably the most important thing about camping is feeling safe and comfortable when it's time to rest. Before shut eye, campers can enjoy the club lounge convertible seating lounge which can convert to a double size bed, and for the main course (for your back) are two high quality memory foam mattresses,a double size at the rear, and a queen size for the main bed. For storage, there are multiple compartments and all of them can be accessed internally as well as externally. Last but not least, standard in all ORCA DF’s is a 19” LED TV which can be equipped with an optional TV antenna as well as an exterior TV mount.

The ORCA DF comes fitted with a couple of key power features as a standard to make sure that campers are fully equipped to enjoy the bare minimum modern camping experience:

Power users have options though, many options. Included in these options, for those campers who want to spend more time on their trips, is an inverter. The ORCA DF has the option to include a 2000W inverter which is capable of running the TV as well as a bunch of other appliances simultaneously.
